Technical Instructor

The Technical Instructor will lead Training and Development initiatives, specifically focused developing training curriculum and materials for classroom and on-line course work. This is a hands-on position with an opportunity to create and deliver a full curriculum of Training and Development programs implemented across a broad range of modality. 

Essential Functions

  • Write, design, and build courseware to deliver both in-class, virtual, and e-learning training programs and courses, including all course materials, exercises, and skill evaluations
  • Become a technical and subject matter expert on our products and software for mobile computing
  • Work with developers and customers to design, storyboard, and outline courseware and supplemental learning resources, such as quick reference guides, Help guides, and User guides
  • Collaborate with product managers, technical support, professional services personnel, and software developers to assess internal and external documentation and customer training needs
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of courseware and learning solutions.
  • Identify and implement best methodologies for training delivery (i.e. web-based, classroom).
  • Develop train-the-trainer courses to enable employees/partners to deliver their specific content.
  • Travel to client/partner sites to deliver custom or standard off-the-shelf courseware.
  • Evaluate program(s)'s effectiveness on an ongoing basis. Develop reporting metrics, ROI of programs
  • Work with  our sales leadership and production staff to conduct a needs assessments/gap analysis.
  • Develop and manage learning curriculum and roll-out new programs on an as-needed basis, to build expertise and accelerate the sales motion of their Field Sales teams, as well as meet strategic

Requirements

  • Direct, recent experience with classroom training, e-learning development, curriculum design, training methodologies, and online education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or degree or work experience in a software/support environment
  • Prefer experience designing materials and/or training for Asset Management Systems; experience in IBM Maximo, SAP or Infor a plus
  • Experience documenting high-level technical environments
  • Demonstrated coding/development skills in SQL Server, Oracle, C#, C++ and/or XML a plus
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design (ID) concepts or UNIX networking and permissions; knowledge in both areas a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organization skills
  • Experience with the Production side of documentation
  • Experience building and maintaining courseware and participant databases
  • Possess strong working knowledge of SQL, .NET, system configuration, security, and support of other work management/asset management application software

Systems Engineer / Application Developer

This position will develop, implement, and support mobile system which interface with IBM's Maximo. The applicant must possess strong working knowledge of SQL, .NET, system configuration, security, and support of other work management/asset management application software. Experience with IBM Maximo is desirable.

Essential Functions

  • Provide integration services and support for clients utilizing Maximo
  • Create custom interfaces
  • Provide system configuration assistance and development
  • Help troubleshoot and support system problems and assist in their resolution
  • Install new instances and/or upgrades of DataSplice software
  • Collaborate with multiple technical environments and support development and testing processes
  • Create user manuals and technical documentation on implementations, customizations or interfaces

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering and/or five (5) years equivalent work experience
  • Maximo, SAP or similar technical knowledge required to execute DataSplice's integration into an EAM Program
  • Ability to create and update advanced technical documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a project team environment
  • Demonstrated coding/development experience with:
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • C# / C++
  • XML
  • GUI development

Technical Services Specialist

This position will work closely with our senior level Systems Engineers to learn to develop, implement, and support mobile solutions which interface with IBM's Maximo.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related program
  • Basic programming skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, .Net, C#, C++
  • Understanding of system configuration, security, troubleshooting hardware/software Issues
  • Capacity to self-learn new programs and applications related to asset management
  • Love of technology and strong desire to assist end users to ensure their success

Essential Duties:

  • Provide integration services and support for clients utilizing Maximo

  • Help troubleshoot and support software, hardware, system problems and assist in their resolution
  • Install new instances and/or upgrades of DataSplice software
  • Collaborate with multiple technical environments and support development and testing processes
  • Create user manuals and technical documentation on implementations, customizations or interfaces

Ideal candidate need not possess strong working knowledge but rather a proven aptitude for technology, interest in helping individuals and organizations be successful through the use or technology, a willingness to learn through self-study, and exceptional written / oral communication and customer service skills.
