Remote Client

The DataSplice Remote Client provides real-time or offline data access to any enterprise data with a simple, easy-to-use interface. DataSplice users can access just the information they need, when they need it, in the order in which they need it.

The Remote Client provides users with a simple interface that makes working with all enterprise data easy and consistent. The interface is tailored specifically to display information on screens with limited screen size, yet is flexible enough to be used at any resolution.

Interface Features

Platform Independent

The Remote Client is available on all modern Windows operating systems, including desktops and handheld devices. This allows users to take advantage of the right device for the job, including PDAs, Tablet PCs, and remote workstations.

  • Multiple column drop-down lists provide contextual information so it is easy to select the correct value.
  • Lists can have static values or can be dynamically generated from other data.
  • Configurable popup windows to select field values.
  • Default values can be automatically provided to speed up data entry.

Different Display Modes

  • Grid based display to show multiple records at once
  • Switching to vertical mode displays more information about a single record.

Powerful Filtering Capabilities

  • Users can easily find the data they are looking for.
  • Administrators can configure default filters that find important data.
  • Attributes can customize the display for individual users and groups.

Work Process Based Dynamic Navigation

  • Users are not forced to change their processes to match up with fixed application behavior.
  • Configurable view relationships supply navigation behavior

Bandwidth Optimized

All communications to and from the server are optimized to work at a high level of performance, even in low bandwidth situations. Tests indicate that the Remote Client performs seamlessly with connections such as CDPD, modems/serial connections, and packet radio.
